About Pastor Ted.
Dr. Theodore N. Nissen, Jr. 1926 - 2001 The highlight of Tedʼs college career at UCLA was working with a fellow student named Bill Bright in establishing a new ministry called “Campus Crusade for Christ”. The Scholarship Fund :: It's about more than money. "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve." Mark 10:45 The Dr. Ted Nissen Scholarship Fund is named after my first Pastor, Dr. Ted Nissen. Pastor Ted was a mentor and a friend, who taught me about the Christian faith, and how a Christian man should live his life. For that I will be eternally grateful. This scholarship will be funded through a portion of my profits, and the proceeds will be spent to help others. How many times have you seen a need and wished you had the resources to help, or how many times have you needed help? Well, Iʼve been guilty of both, wanting to help and needing help. More than once in my life, people have stepped forward and helped me with their time, their talents, or financially. I take seriously that we should give back to God not only our time, our talents, but also a portion of our treasure. Jesus says, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you do for me”. This fund was created to do just that, by helping Godʼs people when they are in need. The Dr. Ted Nissen Scholarship Fund will financially assist needy individuals to be able to accomplish whatever God is leading them to do. Whether it be sending a student to Young Life Camp, or sending someone to another country on a mission trip. It may be helping an inner-city ministry, or a youth group with a need. Itʼs truly exciting to think about all the ways we can serve others through this Scholarship Fund. The reality is, without your help none of this would be possible! My prayer is that God will richly bless each and every one of you! |
